Personalised Aston Villa Football Book - Gift Details

Along with the likes of tennis and cricket, there’s perhaps no sport with a greater heritage and history – both in general terms and with regards to specific clubs – as football. One way in which you can relive the latter is through personalised football books.

Cup win after cup win. League title after league title. And records that still stand to this day. This Aston Villa Football Book is a brilliant way to relive it all.

In 1905 Aston Villa won their fourth FA Cup, following a brace from Harry Hampton in a 2-0 win over Newcastle in front of 101,117 spectators. It’s here, through reprints of original reports and newspaper coverage, this football book picks things up. Further pre-war cup triumphs followed, along with a record-breaking season in 1930/31, when Tom ‘Pongo’ Waring scored 49 of the team’s amazing 128 league goals. Continued success over the decades culminated in Villa’s finest hour – 26th March 1982 and their 1-0 European Cup Final win over Bayern Munich. Things wind up at the end of last season.

All the articles are printed on luxury paper and independently cut and bound in a hardback book.

Now available with colour print option for coverage from 2006 onwards.
