Personalised Celtic Football Book - Gift Details

Personalised Celtic Football Book

This gorgeous handmade Celtic Football Book will rekindle those glorious sporting events. Featuring reprints of original newspaper reports over the last 100 years up until the latest season, this book kicks off in 1925. It’s a history of Celtic to fill any Bhoys fan with pride.

Where do you start? Picking up Celtic’s fortunes in 1925 – by which time the club had already won 26 major honours – this football book covers the Bhoys greatest moments over the following decades.

A Glimpse Inside…

Celtic’s record is staggering. The club has 91 major honours to its name, including 42 League Championships, 34 Scottish Cups, 14 League Cups and a European Cup. Hardly surprising then, that this book does well to fit them all in. But it does, from 1025 onwards.

All the great years feature, most notably 1967, when the Bhoys won every competition they entered – the league, three domestic cups and the European Cup. Plus, it covers the exploits of all the greats, including Jimmy McGroy, Billy McNeil, Jimmy Johnstone, Kenny Dalgish and Henrik Larsson.

Enjoy a Newspaper History of the Bhoys

Celtic FC was founded by Brother Walfrid at St Mary's Church Hall in 1887. The Bhoys won the Scottish Cup in Celtic's first full season. The club has since gone on to win over ninety major titles, including more than forty domestic league championships and the European Cup. Celtic came up against Rangers in the club's first official match back in 1888. The Bhoys won the game 5-2 and the two clubs from Glasgow, known collectively as the “Old Firm", have dominated Scottish football ever since. The rivalry the clubs share is one of the most famous contests in world football and both teams continue to contest domestic competitions closely. Celtic enjoyed much European success in the 1960s and 1970s, winning the European Cup in 1967. The Bhoys also contested the final of the UEFA Cup in 2003, and reached the round of sixteen in the UEFA Champions League for the first time in 2007.
