D-Day Landings Newspaper Book - Gift Details
To commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Battle of Normandy, we have created this wonderfully unique D-Day Landings Newspaper Book. A detailed compilation of newspaper coverage which outlines the major events from the D-Day Landings on 6th June 1944 through to the Parisian's first day of freedom on 27th August 1944.
The Battle of Normandy, otherwise known as Operation Overload, was the Allied invasion of German occupied Western Europe during the Second World War. It was the first major break-through that led us on the road to victory and the eventual fall of the Nazi regime. Other than D-Day and the liberation of Paris, there are many important and ground-breaking events that are covered in this collection. You can read about General De Gaulle's return to Bayeux, the first important French town to be freed and many articles on the Red Army's Summer Offensive which saw vast regions of Eastern Europe taken from the Nazi's in a matter of days. The ongoing and devastating bombing of Berlin is also widely covered.
The D-Day Landings Newspaper Book is a great homage to the efforts made by the British Army and their allies to overthrow the Nazi regime. An emotive read, this book will make a fantastic gift for anyone who lived through the Second World War or has an interest in history.

How our Newspaper Books are made
Each page is reproduced from fully licensed scans taken from the pages of original newspapers going back over 100 years.
They are individually printed to order onto a high quality thicker paper to provide greater durability.
The reproductions are then individually cut and bound in a premium quality leatherette hard back book with the option to personalise with the recipient’s name gold embossed on the front cover.
Our impressively large books are burgundy in colour and 38 x 30cm, approximately Tabloid sized.
It takes four craftsmen/women over an hour to create each book by hand.
